Psalm 20:6 Now I know that the Lord will help his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with mighty victories by his right hand. 7 Some take pride in chariots, and some in horses, but our pride is in the name of the Lord our God. 8 They will collapse and fall, but we shall rise and stand upright.
Preparing for battle, King David declares the source of his confidence. Yes, he and his commanders have made a battle plan. Yes, they bring to the battle important instruments of war. However, these things are not the source of their confidence in victory. Their faith lies with the Lord their God.
This is a good word for me today as I continue making plans for 2015. Sometimes I get anxious worrying if my plans are just right or if the resources I have are adequate.
