Grace or effort?

Standard

2 Peter 1:5 For this very reason, you must make every effort to support your faith with goodness, and goodness with knowledge, 6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with godliness, 7 and godliness with mutuale affection, and mutual affection with love. 8 For if these things are yours and are increasing among you, they keep you from being ineffective and unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Every once in a while I come across a blog post I feel compelled to share in this space. Ben Sternke (the author of the article linked below) is a friend and colleague of mine who is, simply, brilliant. He’s one of the most gifted leaders I know, and one of the most humble. This is a terrific article you simply MUST read. I am wrestling with it myself this morning.
