Romans 15:18 For I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me to win obedience from the Gentiles, by word and deed, 19 by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and as far around as Illyricum I have fully proclaimed the good news of Christ.
I love the way Paul doesn’t brag on himself, but on the works of the Lord. In this passage, and in many places in scripture, Paul tells of the marvelous things God has done – for him as well as through him for others. Brings to mind a few questions:
1. What are the marvelous things the Lord has done FOR ME?
2. What are the marvelous things the Lord is doing THROUGH ME for others?
3. What opportunities do I have to brag on the Lord?
Heavenly Father, give us grace to glorify you in words as well as deeds. It’s important for us to tell others of all that you have done in the past and are doing in the present. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
