Psalm 139: 1 O Lord, you have searched me and known me. 2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away. 3 You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.
I’m struck by v.1 in this passage. There is a sense that God has made an effort to know me. God is interested in me – all of me. The good, the bad, and the ugly. And despite all my rough edges God loves me anyway; not some sterilized version of me, free of my faults, but the real me. Thank you Lord. Amen.
It’s the ‘bad’ and the ‘ugly’ that scares the ‘hell’ out of me. Thank God He loves me; this is know; for the Bible tells me so!
