Romans 8:28 We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.

This is a well known verse as Paul was writing to people who were struggling. He wrote this verse as a word of encouragement to them. Yes, difficult things happen all the time – sometimes for no apparent reason or purpose. But Paul wants us to know that our God can and will use our adversity and hardship for “good”.

I’ll be honest. There are things that happen to me I don’t understand. It’s hard to see good coming from them, but I guess in those situations I’m invited to trust God for what I can’t see. Lord give me faith in the midst of the storm. Amen.
